“Lulla’s Journey
– A video for children where children are the protagonists
because they are the first we want to protect when we decide to
donate umbilical cord.
This short film tells through children, the journey of stem
cells contained in cord blood from donation to transplantation
of a little patient.
This project is the brainchild of the European Society of Bone
Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) that, together with Beat Leukemia
and the availability of the Hospital S. Gerardo Hospital in
Monza, wanted to make it to sensitize mothers of today and
tomorrow to the donation of umbilical cord, an important source
of stem cells for certain types of transplantation.
The video presented during the EMBT 2014 Annual Congress during
the International Day dedicated to patients, families and
donors, is also available in different languages and can be free
downloaded through the links below and on the EBMT website
(www.ebmt.org). To see a preview click here: ....”
